NORBERT PFLANZER

Born in Bruneck, Italy. After his degree from the Conservatorio C. Monteverdi in Bolzano (I), he pursued his percussion studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Rotterdam Conservatory (NL). Attended courses for marimba in France, Hungary, the US and Belgium (with Bart Quartier, L. H. Stevens, Nancy Zeltsman, Mark Ford, Momoko Kamiya und Gordon Stout).
Since 1999 Norbert Pflanzer works in the baroque- (o.a. La Petite Bande, Kölner Kammerorchester, New Dutch Academy, Il Fondamento) and the symphony orchestra (Flemish Radio Orchestra). Performed in Europe, Asia en Latin America.
Experience and training in classical as well as improvised music are Norbert Pflanzer's background for his work in the theater in Belgium (Laika, FroeFroe, Transparant), where it's all about creating and performing a functional music- and sound.
